MISSION  STATEMENT

The James Memorial Preservation Society shall preserve the character and integrity of the building known as James Memorial Center through ongoing restoration.

James Memorial Preservation Society shall provide the public and itself with the means and the location to promote and present visual arts, historical and educational programs, and other events in keeping with the spirit of the organization.

CURRENT RESTORATION AND PRESERVATION PROJECTS:

• Replace boiler for oldest part of the building, repair all steam radiators.
• Add air conditioning for the new wing and the upstairs of the old building.
• Install replicas of the original wood baseboards in the gallery and the entrance to replace vinyl baseboards
• Automatic sprinkler system to help maintain our grounds
• Mat and frame permanent collection so that it can be displayed
• Stage lighting for the Center Stage Room
